Item shop · leaks · rotation · V-Bucks

The shop resets at 00:00 UTC. Here's how it actually works.

ResetHour explains the Fortnite item shop — when it rotates, how items are priced in V-Bucks, and how leaks and dataminers really work. Every price is dated, every leak is labelled unofficial, and for today's shop we send you to Epic's own listings, never a live claim.

The Fortnite item shop is a store that refreshes once a day at 00:00 UTC. That single fact drives everything else on this site: what appears, when it disappears, when it might come back, and why a "leak" is only ever a guess about the next rotation. If you want the full mechanics in one place, start with how the Fortnite item shop works.

What this site does differently

Most shop and leak pages publish prices and "upcoming skin" lists with no timestamp and no caveat. We do the opposite, and we don't copy the day's items at all: our guide to checking today's item shop points you to Epic's own listings — the in-game Item Shop and fortnite.com/item-shop — and explains the 00:00 UTC reset. When we quote V-Bucks prices, they carry the date we checked them, because a Fortnite skin can list at different prices on different days.

Leaks are unofficial — we treat them that way

A leaked skin usually exists — dataminers pull it from files Epic already shipped in an update. What is never guaranteed is the release date, the price, or whether it ships at all. We explain the mechanism in how Fortnite leaks work, and we never print a leaked date as a promise. If a page tells you a skin "drops Tuesday" with total certainty, it is guessing.

You cannot buy or sell Fortnite skins

Unlike CS2 skins, Fortnite cosmetics are locked to your Epic account: they cannot be traded, gifted for cash, or resold, and neither can V-Bucks. Anyone offering to buy or sell your skins is running an account scam. The only real spend is V-Bucks, bought in-game or as gift cards — and after Epic's 19 March 2026 change you get fewer V-Bucks per dollar, so where you buy V-Bucks now matters more than it used to.

Frequently asked questions

What time does the Fortnite item shop reset?

The item shop rotates once every 24 hours at 00:00 UTC. That is 8pm ET the previous evening, 5pm PT, and 1am BST in summer. The reset is automatic; there is no separate schedule for weekends or events, though Epic sometimes adds items mid-day for a launch.

Are Fortnite leaks real, and can I trust them?

Leaks come from dataminers who read files added to the game in each update, so the cosmetics themselves are usually real. What is never guaranteed is the date: a leaked skin can sit unreleased for months, get changed, or be scrapped entirely. Treat every leaked release date as a guess until it is in the shop.

How much do Fortnite skins cost in V-Bucks?

Most outfits sit between 800 and 2,000 V-Bucks, with licensed and Icon Series skins running higher. Since Epic's 19 March 2026 pack change, the smallest US pack is $8.99 for 800 V-Bucks, and larger packs cost less per V-Buck. We show where to check today's shop prices and explain how to buy V-Bucks for less.

Why doesn't your site list today's item shop?

Because the shop changes every day at 00:00 UTC and only Epic publishes it in full, so a copied list goes out of date at the next reset. Our today's-shop guide shows where to see the current shop instead: the in-game Item Shop tab and Epic's fortnite.com/item-shop page, where each item's page states when it stops being purchasable.

Can you sell or trade Fortnite skins like CS2 skins?

No. Fortnite cosmetics are locked to your Epic account and cannot be traded, gifted for cash, or resold. Anyone offering to buy or sell your skins is running an account scam. The only legitimate spend is V-Bucks, bought in-game or as gift cards.
